I googled it and the actions that 'set in motion' the recession that started 1 year after the Dems took over the House & Senate was still primarily caused by Democrats. Since Republicans took over Congress 1n 2011,, the Deficit has decree d every year from 1.5 trillion (Obama, Harry & nancy) to 492 Billion (still sux but we need Repubs across the board to fix it all the way)

Here is a fact for you. The number of employed hit bottom in Sep/Oct 2009, well before the election in 2010 or taking office in 2011. The number of employed has been on an upward trend ever since.

Here is an easy to read link that should teach you about the causes of the recession and give you an idea some of the dates in this time period that created the recession in December 2007.
The two independents sided with the Democrats to have Reid selected as the Majority Leader, that didn't really mean much, but apparently to the right wingers this seems to mean that the Democrats had full control of the Senate, which is a false idea.

For the umpteenth time most new jobs went to "immigrants" not Americans and many of these new jobs were part time. Get back with me when good paying blue-collared jobs come back and Americans get them. Right now they are either going to "immigrants" or are being outsourced.
See post number two. Jobs have magically appeared because the GOP took over Congress two months ago. Of course, that doesn't account for the other 58 straight months of job growth.
Jobs magically appeared after the Democrats lost control in 2010 and couldn't continue their path of destruction. Funny how things started to improve once "the party of no" get on the way of the Dems agenda.
Funny how the economy went into the toilet after the Democrats gained control of both the House and Senate in 2006 and went on a spending spree with the taxpayers money.
