There is no growth to speak of. Corporations are raking in record profits while everyone else continues to struggle, going deeper into debt just to get by. Most of the financial gains are going right to the top 1% or 2%. Unemployment is going down because people are giving up looking for work and others are taking part-time jobs that they still can't live on. When either of those things happens, you fall off the unemployment rolls. The number of adults in the workforce is at a multi-decade low, while corporations continue to ship jobs overseas.

It's all smoke and mirrors from those who want to put partisanship and profits before people.

The LFPR is unchanged from October 2013, yet the U3 unemployment has fallen 1.7%.

Oct 2013
LFPR 62.8%
U3 7.2%

Feb 2015
LFPR 62.8%
U3 5.5%

The number of discouraged workers and those working part time for economic reasons have been declining for some time now.

The decline in the LFPR was predicted decades ago because of demographic changes in the US population mix. The LFPR will not be rising significantly no matter how strong the economy is.

Really? What, then, do you think of Obama? (Actually, you're lying about Reagan)

The economy is growing in SPITE of obama, not because of him or his policies. Businesses are doing what's best for them in anticipation of that fool leaving office soon. He has done nothing to improve life for anyone except the takers in society. True unemployment is still over 10% but they quit counting those who have given up.

Com'on libs, let's sing the Dems theme song "Day Dream Believer", all together now---

Unlike others commenting, I looked at the underlying data on the latest unemployment report, and it is all positive. Great employment gains, 2.6% annual average earnings increase, and the least educated (< high school) with a 8.4% Unemployment rate are now enjoying a lower rate than those with some college experienced 5 years ago. For college grads, the unemployment rate today is just 2.7%.

We are in the midst of good economic times. Enjoy them. I am.

See what happens when you don't squander trillions in Iraq, like both Bushes?

Defense spending, justified by the Cold War and having to outspend Russia. Problem is it created a huge deficit and a recession for the next president, George H. Bush, when all of the defense contractors laid people off.
