Yes! Absolutely! Why do so many idiots want to tell others how to live their lives when they can't even run their own life properly?

A New York State Republican assemblyman who opposed medical marijuana legislation at every turn was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. The police found the marijuana after they pulled him over for speeding.

A statement released shortly after the March 2013 incident, law enforcement officials reported that state police discovered Steve Katz had a “small bag” of marijuana on him.

Yet people wonder why so many are tired of the establishment politicians in office. Both sides do this crap and if an honest and legitimate person tried to run they would be destroyed before they even got done with announcing a run for office.

He's in government. They can do whatever want.

Not only is he a hypocrit he's an idiot. "law enforcement officials reported that state police discovered Steve Katz had a “small bag” of marijuana on him."
Why did he get searched for a speeding ticket?

Never consent to a search.

Just more of the same from the political class. They believe themselves above the law... which isn't surprising since they are the ones writing the laws.

Glad to see another "better than thou" hypocrite busted by the very (insane) laws he supported.

The comforting fact is that after CA passes recreational use, the idiots won't be able to stop pot from being taken off Schedule I. In a decade or so it'll be no worse than alcohol. The dominoes are falling and this BS war on citizens is ending.

Two things:

1. Most politicians are hypocrites.

2. Marijuana is a plant that the government has no business banning.

I don't smoke pot nor do I have any interest in doing so, but it's just another example of the government overstepping their authority.

They banned it because DuPont and Hearst wanted to protect their plastics investments.

So not only are they hypocrites, but criminals as well. Criminals that turned millions of good people into criminals for their own financial gain. Now we've had the private prison industry jumping in to keep it illegal for their own survival.

Nothing about the war on drugs has been about public health.
