The GOP, Grover Norquist and the NRA are not far enough right for Glenn Beck
What took him so long. I left a long time ago. Tired of the neo-conservatives. Tired of the leftward drift of the Republican Party. You lefties say, "Oh, you're extremists". No, we are traditional conservatives. We've ALWAYS been this way. Your leftie politicians are just moving the whole political spectrum incrementally to the left and we are not willing to go along with it. You're leaving us. You're the extremists....
Nice when the full truth comes out rather than a misleading topic heading meant to make it seem that Beck left the party for the same reasons that the Democrats hate them. It's true that the NEOCON's that are moving to the left just aren't true conservatives anymore.
First Glen Beck left the Democrats, now he is leaving the Republican. Big deal. It is great to be ideologically pure, but at some point you have to govern. Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi could never figure this out. Ted Cruz seems to have a hard time understanding that sometimes. The ideologically pure have to pick their battles better because there is a time for a hardline stance and there are times when you have to compromise and negotiate.
In other words cave in to the liberal left? Some things just shouldn't be compromised on because they aren't in the best interests of the majority nor our country. Liberals want to us to cave into another amnesty just as an example and thumb our noses at our immigration laws.
Nope. Neither party is looking out for Americans. The sad thing is that at one time democrats truly looked out for the poor, working and middle classes. Today dems put illegals first---and you don't think that's "cray cray"?
