I couldn't believe my eyes. This is a far left news site. Even liberal think tanks are skeptical of H1b visas. People shouldn't forget that protecting American wages is a liberal principle.

No it isn't. Leftists have no principles.

Were protecting American wages an actual principle, then liberals wouldn't support bans on domestic energy production, wouldn't support raising corporate taxes, wouldn't support raising capital gains taxes, and wouldn't support ever-expanding regulations on business. Everything liberals support lessens the competitiveness of American business, and the lower the competitiveness of American business the worse the job market is for American workers.

Supporting American wages is just rhetoric that liberals use to dupe low information voters into supporting them. When it comes to actually doing anything whatsoever which would provide tangible benefits, liberals don't do squat. They never have.

The legacy of liberals is the disappearing of families being able to survive on a single income, the offshoring of American jobs, the importation of foreign workers, the destruction of the American work ethic, and the replacement of decent manufacturing jobs with low paying service industry jobs.

Ever seen a Republican conservative starting with Yuma, El Centro, Bakersfield, and going up the California Central Valley who pays anything but lip service to illegal immigration. They never have and they never will. This story plays out in Washington, Oregon, Michigan, Illinois, NC, SC, Arkansas, etc. Find a conservative Republican and you will find someone who turns the other way. Take a look at Kevin McCarthy Bakersfield Republican. Republicans are so deep in the ditches trying to buy votes...

The elite rich run the nation. They could all careless who is the slaves, as long as there are slaves to serve them.
It is not a Dem v. Rep issue. It is the elite rich in both parties, looking to get richer.
There are only a few, willing to stand up and say, the middle class has had enough. They get called racist, then slandered and libeled in the media, to make them shutup.

Is that so? If that's true, then how do explain that it was Republicans who blocked immigration reform? Your comment is nice enough rhetoric, but it utterly collapses as soon as it's matched up against reality.

Did any one watch the debates? Romney came right out and said he would like to see H1b visas increased to 200,00 a year. Obama was in agreement and said that number sounded about right. So if you voted for either one and are in the tech field or other you cut your own throat. I have a hard time feeling sorry for people when their problem were self inflicted. H1b's is part of the globalist agenda and it is a run away train and their is nothing you can do to stop it.

How can it be stopped when the voters are choosing leaders that support it?

Was the main point of contention H1b visas? Or was it more of unskilled workers flooding the US/Mexican border?

I apologize if this is off-topic but I meant to ask:

Who are the few, willing to stand up and say, the middle class has had enough?
