After Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz announced his candidacy on Twitter, the snarky backlash on the social network was unprecedented. What went wrong?

“Senator Cruz also seems to be one of those candidates who really lend themselves to being lampooned,”

Unlike Obamas thin skin, Ted wears the battle scars, like a badge of honor.

And how is it that you support a Canadian for US President, after all the nonsense you guys raised about your fantasies on Obama's birthplace? Do conservatives have any objective standards?

(no)

Technically a Cuban that was smuggled into Canada in order to get in through our less protected border to the north.

Ted Cruz's dad say his son is The Anointed One and we have to give all our wealth to the priests before the end times - about 3-5 years from now. TC was later anointed by far right dominionistic (Christian domination) priests. The right can't dismiss Ted's dad, not when they inflate the influence of Obama's dad (who he only met twice) and not when Ted participates and accepts the chosen one label. This end times/chosen one nuttery has gone to Cruz's head, he's unfit for power.

His half-truths and non-truthful statements would be attacked as 'lies' if Obama had said them. Let's see if the Obama critics hold Cruz to the same standards of the 'truth.' This is going to be good.

Fact-checking Ted Cruz

Ted Cruz says satellite data show the globe isn

Lefties liked lies & deception.
Done a good job of affirming and supporting that these past 7 years.

Why don't you go by your real name (Johnathan, I presum?) How many people do you know that go by their "real" name and not a nickname; i.e., Bill (William), Rick (Richard), etc.?

At least ted follows the law.

Not too many of our reps seem very interested in laws anymore.

You gotta love how the media tries to turn following the law as something ugly or sneaky.

Maybe that is why they are so big on illegal immigration.

Something you will NEVER see from Obama!
Alan Dershowitz (Ted Cruz' law professor at Harvard Law School) has described Ted Cruz as brilliant, and probably the smartest student he has ever had.

What's Barry's record? Nobody knows. As President of Harvard Law Review, he reportedly never published an article! Not even ONE.
