He doesn't care what the people think. He thinks he knows how people should live their lives and the government should tell people what they can eat, drink and smoke. Let's hope this idiot never makes it out of NJ.

As if anyone needed another reason to dislike New Jersey, the state’s governor, Chris Christie, a likely Republican presidential candidate, just said if he were president he’d crack down on legalized marijuana. On the Hugh Hewitt Show, Christie was asked if he’d enforce the drug laws in Colorado and Washington, which Hewitt said were “flaunting federal law by allowing people to sell dope legally.” [MOD CUT/copyright violation]

I'm not sure how Christie is saying he is above the law here. Technically he is right.

He is a moron and has no chance of winning the nomination but flawed arguments are flawed arguments. The Colorado laws do run counter to federal laws. The Feds could go in and bust people if they wanted to.

Christie is trying to be a hardass for the base. He can't jive with conservatives on cultural issues, so he has to be a tough guy.

Christie really is an idiot that thinks he is above the law

Maybe he thinks that if he acts that way, just like Obama and Clinton, he will gain popularity.

And Dems too. How many Dems in the House and Senate support legalization.

And of course the hypocrite in the white house is the leader of the war on drugs.
