Obama expected to nominate a black woman to be attorney general

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Barack Obama is expected to nominate U.S. Attorney Loretta Lynch of New York to become the next U.S. attorney general, CNN reported Friday.

Lynch, 55, a long-time prosecutor, would be the first African-American woman to hold the job if she is nominated and confirmed by the Senate.

Lynch currently serves as U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of New York, which covers the borough of Brooklyn, and is thought to be a non-controversial candidate who would be easily confirmed.

Ok....I'll bite. Why exactly do you see this as their worst nightmare? Let me guess: Confirm her or you're a bunch of racists?

Why is this a GOP problem? If she agrees to indict Eric Holder and Lois Lerner we have no problem.

Barack is the racist. Two blacks in a row? I want to see the full list of candidates and their resumes.

In your own post you cite how she is supposed to be easily confirmed.

Then in your title you cite how she is somehow the GOP's worst nightmare despite citing that they are clearly going to have no big issue with confirming her.

You ok? You need to lie down or something?

We all know the OP meant

"she's black", and because she's a Democrat, Republicans are "racist'...

ignore that I dont think the Democrats elected one new minority this week, we're supposed to believe the party that did elect numerous minorities, hates them..

Yeah, liberals dont think things through very well.

Nah.... I think he means that she is very qualified and easily confirmed. The Pubs will be pissed because the may not be able to make a public spectacle out of the process.

I thought the exact same thing when I opened the thread. It has nothing to do with the content.

My guess is that people are using titles in an attempt to win that $500 prize.
