the (bolded) word you just used would have eliminated all confusion.

“It’s a very delicate balancing act because while we try to make sure that they protestors were protected from the cars and the other things that were going on, we also unfortunately gave those who wished to destroy space to do that as well,”
If she meant to say something else, why didn't her handlers immediately notify her so she could make a correction?

the Mayor of Baltimore is an idiot......she is clueless.......the city is being destroyed and burned down and she puts a curfew tonight?

I hope the businesses who lost everything sues her and the city.

Sorry to ruin everyone's hate parade, but Megyn Kelly cut off the first part of the Mayor's quote to make it seem like she wanted her city destroyed. They conveniently left off "It's a very delicate balancing act because..." Her words were indeed taken out of context.

Now she denies having said that, but her words are on the video, as Megyn Kelly at Fox News has it, and has played it.

She has been caught in a blatant lie, and she says, "It is very unfortunate that members of your industry decided to miss-characterize my words, and try to use it as a way to say that we are inciting violence.

This woman should resign from office immediately. To allow people to destroy property, and then lie about what she said, is unforgivable.

Further, this kind of protest is a clear violation of law. Freedom to assemble does not allow for stopping vehicles etc. This was unlawful assembly.

This raged out of control largely because of her mishandling of this entire incident.

The media reported the facts, which included her exact words. The media has not misquoted her.
Typical politician and poor innocent people in those areas within the containment zone. Sounds like a SciFi or Purge type film.

she probably figured that it went with out saying that the riots that happened as a result of 'giving space' was unfortunate, so she didn't say it. and her handlers apparently saw it the same way.
it wasn't until the next day when people started complaining that they realized it could have been taken the wrong way.

now i feel icky

Ironic Baltimore survived the British who came to burn it(and we have the Star Spangled Banner anthem thanks to that) and Rebels who wanted to take it over in the Civil War but it's own residents are know destroying it.
The city has gone from "Oh say can you see"...to..."Burn, Baby, Burn, Disco Inferno."

Yes she did. She changed her story and basically lied saying she didn't say it. She clearly said give them room to destroy and did nothing while the city was being destroyed
