Why do I care? We threw off the shackles of that oppressive regime a few 100 yrs. ago.....We need to worry about our problems before we worry about anyone else's....
Yank here, currently working with the Scottish Conservatives (although the Scot Tories are more akin to Blue Dog Democrats than the Republican Party. They are fairly libertarian on social issues as well)

I do wish Britain well. This is the country that gave America birth even if it was a rocky one at times. Our laws are based on English Common Law, our higher education system mirrors much of Scotland's, and the Magna Carta is the first in a series of documents that can provide the lineage to the existence of the United States.
(Plus my 'ethnicity' is English, Scottish and Welsh...)
