And agree, they will continue you to do what they do.
This is why it will be renewed. Blind partisanship over country.

122 Democrats and 31 Republicans voted no.

Senate
30 Democrats and 41 Republicans voted in favor.

18 Democrats and 4 Republicans voted no.

Rand Paul was able to hold up the vote while he demanded the opportunity to revise it obviously he did not prevail within his own party.

I wonder what pork was packed into it.

I'm talking about the renewals that came up since 2009.
No amendments were added. One glitch came up when Rand Paul acted up about it and they quickly silenced him and approved the renewal in 2011.

The renewals go until 2016.
We'll see how Hillary does next time they all come up for renewal.

We are talking about the Patriot Extention Act, no?

I did go back and gave Rand Paul credit for trying in 2011.

This will be up for another renewal before the Republicans and Democrats decide who to nominate for 2016.

Who says Clinton was right? And if it was not right for Clinton, why is it right for the NSA?

Those who want government to spy on them should pack up and move to Russia or China or Iran. Such people do not deserve to live in a free society. end quote

whether you agree with the policy or not..giving away state secrets is traitorous , and is certainly a violation of his oath

he VIOLATED his oath

[b] military oath:
"I, _____, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; [b]

CIA oath:

[b] The CIA oath reads: “I, [name], do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same;

snowden and manning both violated their oaths...disobeyed orders and regulations and laws

snowden crapped on the country
The FIRST item in both the Military oath AND the CIA oath demand support and defense of the Constitution against ALL enemies, both FOREIGN AND DOMESTIC. According to you, that part of th oath may be ignored at will so long as you are marching in lockstep with those who would destroy our freedom.

Check out how the government has stomped on NSA employees who tried to report NSA violations through the system:

Is this the America you want to live in? I DONT!

This is wonderful news and a victory for freedom. Someday Snowden will have his statue on the Washington mall.

Snowden is a hero and did not violate his oath. Obama violates his oath every day by continuing the NSA spying.

The CIA oath reads: “I, [name], do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic;

That is exactly what he did. Any time you have to disobey orders to support and defend the Constitution, you are a national hero.

Snowden has made our country better.
