Gun bans obviously won't work since two of these attacks happened in places with strict gun laws (California and France). Trump's Muslim ban wouldnt solve it since the Orlando shooter and one of the shooters in San Bernadino were U.S. citizens. "Boots on the ground" in Syria wouldn't solve it since these attacks aren't being carried out, organized or even funded by ISIS soldiers, but instead by radical sympathizers. Nevertheless, 99% of you will argue for one of these policies simply because they sound good and hardly anyone is knowledgeable enough to understand the real complexities of combatting terrorism.

One helpful tool would be active and deliberate discrimination.

Then enlighten us all, share you're knowledge and help us understand the real complexities.

Do you work for the State Dept?

You can't defeat an ideology. I'm sure we can do more than we are currently doing here at home but all the bleeding hearts/PC police wouldn't accept it. Acts like this are only going to become more common as time goes by.

No one can enlighten us, especially the State Department. Remember Hillary blaming a movie on the Benghazi massacre without a clue. I't just going to happen.

You could reduce the number of deaths when an assault rifle ban such as Regan or GWB supported (as do I). But nothing is 100%. First, guns can be made at home or smuggled in. In Appalachia making guns (including assault rifles) at home is common knowledge. I support ending gun show loopholes but in San Bernadino and Orlando the shooters had no criminal record and bought them legal after background checks.

Boots on the ground makes things worse. Muslims would have no problem with America if we left them alone.

Simply not true based on the teachings of the prophet.

Since the overwhelming majority of mass shooters are white males, I guess this means we'll have to start discriminating against white men then.

Gun ban IS NOT the same as Strict gun laws.

Gun ban will work because it's hard to commit a mass shooting without guns!!

Only a just and caring society can defeat extremism. I know this from first hand experience.
