Muhammad cartoon contest planned for Phoenix anti-Islam rally - ABC15 Arizona

I don't think this will have a good ending.

PHOENIX - An anti-Islam rally in Phoenix on Friday will feature a Muhammad cartoon-drawing contest.
The scheduled location is outside the Islamic Community Center in north Phoenix.
The gathering comes less than a month after a similar event in Texas sparked gunfire that left two men, both from Phoenix, dead.
The organizer said he had to do “something” because he does not want Islam spreading in the U.S.

Freedom of speech is worth the issues it brings.

The bikers had better exercise both their First Amendment and Second Amendment rights simultaneously. If the Muslims attack and are shot you can bet that CAIR will call the Muslim terrorists "victims".

To an extent. Not when it puts innocent bystanders in potential danger. Now that loudmouth Geller wants to plaster these drawings all over public transportation in DC.

I'll bet it goes off without a hitch. The vast majority doesn't support violence. It had to be shipped in last time and they arent coming back.

Yawn. As a Muslim, *I don't care*. We have a clear an explicit injunction in the Quran for this situation:

"And the servants of (Allah) Most Gracious are those who walk on the earth in humility, and when the ignorant address them, they say, "Peace!" - Quran (25:63)

I read this was a protest on the current events forum. I support both free speech and the arts so either way I'm okay with this.

I don't think that freedom of speech or any part of the constitution is the point with bikers, maybe they will do the same at a church to prove their point.
