Bull, marriage was already a right, it was not made up. The only ones spreading bull are the religious who have their panties in a wad because they cannot force control over a segment of the population. The court system decided marriage equality as it did interracial marriage and desegregation, was that unconstitutional seizure of legislative authority by the court? Get over it, the fact of the matter was that religion does not own, nor control marriage, never did and as long as only straights got the right to marriage, then it was a special right that was being subsidized by gays. But you need to read some history about equal rights, rights are not voted on by the people, interracial marriage did not happen because of popular vote, neither did desegregation or the right for women to vote. If anyone has created a right that does not exist, it is the Christians with their desire to hate and discriminate using their bible.

This is good news!
Resignation is the more appropriate word.
