What's interesting is the language that the British used to describe the Irish people - it was every bit as derogatory as the language used to describe black slaves in America - they were filthy, subhuman, sexually obsessed, etc.
Actually, it's an accident of history that slaves in America were black. There was no association of skin color with slavery elsewhere in European history. Roman and Greek slaves came from all over - and Romans enslaved other Romans, and Greeks enslaved other Greeks.
I was well aware of that - just waiting for the right time to demand reparations.
Don't do that. The politically correct crowd would suggest that we be paid in Guinness.
