Where's the progressive leftist, Bolshevik, East Bloc, censorious New York Times? Like the month-long, 1000 person Cliven Bundy escalation (until a full six days after the BLM retreat), NYT is silent, MIA. Not a peep, not in Newest | Oldest | Relevance.
The New York Times. The progressives' newspaper of record where leftists can eat only the cultural mush that's good for them.

The gold belongs to the UT Investment Co. which oversees endowments. They started buying gold in 2008.

But it didn't spill a word of ink on it until a full six days after a newly militarized BLM retreated, with a grudging, petulant Timothy Egan opinion piece.
This was pushed by a politician that has closed ties to investment companies.
He has not consulted with UT and UT did not push for this.
He's been trying for 2 years to get this passed.
