It's the Democrats that have always been the party of racism in America from supporting slavery, Jim Crow, to now supporting racist policies in favor of some groups (blacks) over whites and Asians. I guess if the Republicans have to adopt racist Democrat policies to win the White House again they will probably do it but it will be a sad day to se the one party that has never been racist to adopt the racist Democrat division policies.
As far as that particular poll goes, it's 2 years old and you left off the part that they also want the border closed to illegal crossings before reform takes place.
Not only that but no GOP politician nor most of their conservative electorate has been advocating for rounding them up and deporting them. So the poster you replied to is just spouting nonsense just like the rest of his pro-illegal followers. The plan is to remove all of the incentives for them to remain here and many if not most will self-deport. That is if it's true that they are only here for a better life.
Until you recognize that you're owned down on the Democrat plantation you will never be free of your shackles. In fact, you are abjectly afraid of losing those shackles.
More projecting. Conservatives on this forum can barely mask their contempt for the black race, but somehow it's liberals who are the plantation owners.
Who proudly flys the Confederate flag again? It isn't Liberals.

Translation: You can stay here (though I'd much rather you leave) but only as a subhuman.

you cant win with just white males. 08 and 12 proved that.
the white electorate was 72 percent in 12, romney won 59 percent of the white vote and still lost easily.
the white electorate will be in the mid 60's in 16, which means the gop nominee would need to win maybe 62-63 percent of the white vote. not happening.
the gop needs to siphon off black and hispanic voters to have any chance.
the simple solution is to focus on those groups and reach out to them, dismissing the white conservative male vote who is going to end up voting for the gop regardless anyways.
Just what does the GOP have to do to reach out to blacks and Hispanics? What could they do that the Dems aren't already promising them in spite of the fact that what they are promising isn't in the best interests of this country?

Obama got more than 70% of the Asian vote in 2012. All minority groups sees the GOP for what it is. No one is fooled.
I know this is a topic that most Republicans would rather avoid. However at some point the GOP will have to have an honest conversation with itself about race and how it positions itself as a party in a changing America. There is undoubtedly a deep seated vein of racism which permeates the Republican base (this is far too obvious online including on sites like this). This has exacted a heavy toll on the GOP in Presidential elections.
Republicans have a serious and deteriorating PR problem in minority communities. But frankly, many Republicans don't care about this. They think the GOP can do without "these people". They point to Republican victories in the midterm elections of 2010 and 2014 as examples that the GOP can win without changing course. However, what they fail to notice is the slow bleed of the GOP which has weakened the party significantly in presidential politics. The fact of the matter is America is not what it used to be demographically. Republicans have yet to fully accept that the Southern Strategy has met it Waterloo on the road to the White House.
If Republicans don't change course, they will continue to cede the White House to the Democrats. Interestingly the parties have switched roles. There was a period from Nixon to Bush (W.) where Republicans had a virtual lock on the White House reliably winning the majority of the Presidential election cycles in that period. Whereas the Democrats were traditionally the dominant party in Congress. Today the roles are completely reversed where the Democrats have a natural advantage in Presidential elections while Republicans have become more dominant in Congress (due in part to Gerrymandering).
One big reason this is happening is due to an increasingly diverse American electorate. The Democrats have capitalized on this and maximized their gains in Presidential elections. However the GOP continues to be handicapped at the Presidential level by their clinging to the southern strategy (if you don't know what this is, Google it). Whilst the southern strategy might still work in some local, state, and midterm elections; it has proven to be a spent force at the presidential level. The sooner Republicans accept this and change their ways the better off their party will be. Otherwise Democrats will continue to retain exclusive rights to the White House.

Right, like I said the Republicans have always supported fairness and non racist policies and Democrats have always been racist and support slavery and other racist policies. However, if the Republicans have to adopt racist Democrat policies to win, they will do it.
Good point and this is the essence of the GOP base today. Republicans have written off large swaths of the American electorate. They had a meltdown after the Romney defeat and promised that they would do more "reaching out" instead they doubled down on their old strategy and have even become more anti-minority since then.
Oh please, I am waiting with baited breathe as to how the GOP has doubled down on supposedly being anti-minority. You fools make me laugh you're so pathetic with your lies.
