At least liberals/leftists, as terribly wrong and misguided as they are, at least attempt to refute our points.

Conservatives, on the other hand, are mostly silent, especially the hardcore Trump supporters who seem to post here thousands of times a week. Is it because they are so fixated on liberal-bashing that they can't even contemplate the fact that unlike them, libertarians actually want limited to no government?

Obviously I can't speak for conservatives, but I ask questions because I like to learn how other people think.

Other than that, I can only say that if I ever stop being a liberal, it would probably be to hook up with libertarians, and not conservatives. There are elements I like about both big "Ls", but it seems that conservatives, at least as represented on C-D, cobble together the worst of everything.

I really am probably more Libertarian than conservative because I don't give a damn what you do just don't bother me about it. Oh and you pay for your own crap.

Conservatives are not only lazy, but they're hypocritical. I always make it a point to ask them to name the last GOP President and/or Congress that actually REDUCED spending and shrunk the government. Hasn't happened in over 60 years.

Just earlier this month Trump proposed coal subsidies. Welfare is ok...as long as it's for a conservative cause.

I can't break into your house. That's a NAP violation. But if you have a verboten plant in there...all bets are off.

It's funny, I always said that I agree with libertarians on 90%, but have often had a tougher time getting civil discussion from them than from liberals, with whom I [u]disagree[/i] 90%.

I had a good friend who was very active in the state LP here. We would often end up in a shouting match. In particular, he would always interrupt mid-sentence, which I HATE. I gave up trying to talk politics with him.

Just my experience, YMMV.

Saint Reagan doubled the debt, increased deficits, and dramatically increased the size of the federal government. He also signed gun-control bills and signed the bill raising the drinking age to 21.

In all fairness to Trump, he called his proposed coal subsidies earlier this month an "emergency".

If he says it's an emergency well it must be one!

He also signed TWO gun control bills back in April. Even Obama didn't do that.

What do you think SWAT teams are for? To peacefully maintain order?
