For those unfamiliar with Tunisia, it's across from Italy in Northern Africa. It's presumed most of the victims are tourists from Europe.
I worked in the Middle East and was always concerned what they might do during Ramadan because if they are killed during Ramadan doing something for the superstition (religion), they get a special transportation pass to Nirvana.

There's been a large tourist industry in Tunisia for Europeans since the 1950s. Horrible terrorist attacks like this one and the one at the museum are a fairly recent development. Since the tourism industry is a huge part of the economy it will be in the government's best interest to crack down quickly.
