So this TSA person sends a tweet with a picture...
The photo, from the Richmond airport, shows a passenger's luggage containing $75,000 in cash. Farbstein asks, "Is this how you'd transport it?" Most people would not, but there is nothing illegal about simply checking a bag containing $75,000, or carrying it with you on the plane. Passengers aren't under any obligation to report large sums of cash unless they're traveling internationally, though the TSA recommends that passengers consider asking for a private screening.
A 2009 TSA blog post explained what the TSA does when agents encounter large sums of cash.

I'm not excusing the government thieves, I'm asking that people who take these unnecessary risks be held accountable for taking them. I would never take such a stupid risk, no one should.

What risks others are willing to take really isn't your problem. Many wouldn't take the risks the Wright Brothers or Chuck Yeager took either.
Maybe even it's possible the guy has some mental issues that causes him to not trust others so he keeps his money with him. I would feel safer with the government confiscating money from the mentally ill, wouldn't you?
