I read the article and i can see why. Iraq is a sovereign nation and our agreement is for things like this to go through Baghdad. Why do you have a problem with that? How do you know that our govt and the British don't know more than you? I seriously think they do. Are you privy to classified info? There might just be some Arabs that are just working for isis. Just like we might read" We made the air drop but we had the wrong info and they were dropped to ISIS by mistake."

You are show sure that Obama is Wrong just because he is a BLACK DEMOCRAT and you hate him.

It appears to be more complicated than you think.

Note that this article says that it is against US law to ship heavy weapons to areas that are not internationally recognized sovereign governments, which the Kurds are not. The Senate took a vote on allowing such shipments, but it failed (Obama opposed the measure).

To say that President Obama wants 'the terrorist to win' is childish. Yet there are layers upon layers at work here, I assume. For one, Iraq does not want the US to 'recognize' the Kurds as being independent, and it may well cause other problems that I am not aware of.

Obviously, our shipping heavy weapons to Iraq to arm their army has not worked well, since so many of those weapons have ended up in ISIS hands. I do feel that the Kurds, if allowed to have them, may ('may') make more proper usage of them; but perhaps they would turn their attention to gaining their own country separate from Iraq and Turkey. Turkey, an ally, would also oppose arming Kurds, for obvious reasons.

I still say: let those nations involved (including Turkey and Saudi Arabia, etc.) fight ISIS.

It is a shame that life is not as simple as many think. Of course, ISIS does have it simple: get weapons and kill.

The US won't arm the Kurds right now, because Turkey (NATO member) would object. The very last thing the Turkish gov't wants is any sort of independent Kurdistan anywhere. Most of the news I've been reading lately is anticipation that Turkey will invade Syria to attack the YPG/J or block them from connecting their areas or expansion. The Syrian and Turkish Kurdish political groups have also tended in the past to have a Maoist outlook. Not really sure who all these countries are the article says want the Kurds better armed, its not very clear who or why.
