The dude held a gun in each hand, Chow Yun Fat style, and managed to hit.... no one! And then retreated back to his house. After he fired first at the Ewing guy and missed.

Yeah, I read it. The one arrested appeared out of his house with a second gun. The CC shooter engaged him as a distraction to save the lives of the family that the criminal was trying to shoot in the first place.
The bad guy shot at a one year old. He got what was coming to him.
