If Planned Parenthood goes away, we are simply going to the European model. Abortion pills. Some regulated, for use in a medical facility, and others via mail order from whatever source, domestic or foreign. About 2 million abortions take place by using pills in Europe now.
At least with Planned Parenthood, they have to follow state restrictions imposed in compliance with Roe v. Wade. Abortion pills would be a free for all, no regulations. Moreover, you won't be able to intimidate and shame mothers and abortion providers any more. There will be nothing you can do to stop it. Maybe there will be late term abortions. Is that what you want? Whatever.
I'm not sure why folks don't comprehend this. What does planned parenthood do? Well 5% of their funding provides abortions......but a FAR FAR larger amount provides birth control. So what happens if you lose that?

So I don't get it, these attacks on planned parenthood seem to be a excellent way to cause more abortions to occur. Its not like planned parenthood is the only place to get an abortion. Or don't people think about the unintended consequences at all?

Yes, because of the expanded access to birth control and people waiting longer to get married. It's not because large numbers of people suddenly find aversion to abortion when they didn't in the past.

Except not everyone benefits from the ACA, and the people that tend to get it from PP are not covered because many Republican leaning states won't expand Medicaid. So try again please.
and the right doesn't want abortion but then they don't like welfare, food stamps or people on public assistance. Make up your minds.
