I'm not sure grizzly bears are even capable of yawning.
It's like the fox hunting that the very wealthy used to do in England. All set up for them and all they had to do is shoot. That sport was banned but in the cases of foxes, they were not a protected species and they began to overbreed. Now there may be some controlled fox killing to get things back under control.
Same thing happened with a deer herd not to far from where I live--they had to have people come in to kill some of them off because there were no natural predators anymore doing the job.
But this lion was a different case. It was being studied and was protected, was even wearing a GPS device.
There aren't many lions left and it's not a case of there being too many, it's a case of not that many left.
On the other hand, I can sympathize with killing an animal to eat. Not an endangered animal but a lot of us eat chicken and beef. People hunt deer and ducks. That's for food, not just some entitled millionaire paying $50,000 for someone to lure an endangered animal out so he can kill for the fun of it.
AND after this guy killed the lion, he next asked if they could bring him an elephant to kill. Oh, he must be a brave and courageous man. No, he's a man who could be doing better things with his life.
BUT his 24 cub Pride is also given death sentence...It's no nonsense at all...IF you kill the Male of any Pride..The whole pride ( cubs are killed as well)..so fine..kill one male lion..( which is actually 25 in this case) and multiply that by the lion's killed documented..and multiply that number by the pride #.. Is there any excuse to say..I bought a lion kill..but in reality you killed 24 times that by your action....
"24 cubs" does not necessarily translate to 24 kittens incapable of feeding, hunting and defending themselves; another example of emotion overruling reason.
On the news tonight there are doubts this is true, his collar is transmitting data that shows he is still alive and well.
It was an activist group that said he was dead. No proof and the major MSM sites ran with it. Typical no verifying so they could be "first to report".
They posted this 8 hours ago..no retraction, no update.
But they would appreciate your donation so they can stop these needless killings.
They are also the ones that said Jerico took over for Cecil in protecting Cecil's cubs.
He'll really hide now. He's started a horrible chain of events.
Wasn't it his poacher of a guide who went out of his way to bait lions in the preserve, for his clients to shoot? Isn't it more poachers going out of their way to shoot more lions on the preserve?
Newsflash: You don't get to decide what is rational emotion and what is irrational emotion when it comes to humanitarian causes. All humanitarian causes by their very nature are emotional at their core.
Except this Isn't a humanitarian incident. Pantheratarian maybe.
Wasn't it his poacher of a guide who went out of his way to bait lions in the preserve, for his clients to shoot? Isn't it more poachers going out of their way to shoot more lions on the preserve?
Please don't bring common sense into this, you just blew the heads off many....
I expect a lot of emotional argumentation with little to no facts thrown in with a lot of anecdotes.
