These two upstanding, respectable Minnesota lawmakers (both committee chairs in the state House of Representatives - go ahead and take a wild guess to which party they belong to) were simply 'exchanging documents'. In a secluded park. And they weren't really making out (hint - they're married, but not to each other). And her pants weren't really down. Sure...

They were issued nuisance citations by a park ranger. She claims the charges and description of events are an 'absolute lie'. He claims they are 'completely false'.

Quote:
Two high-ranking state lawmakers are denying charges that they created a public nuisance at a Twin Cities Regional Park last week.
Quote:
The park ranger wrote in a report that Kelly and Mack were “making out” in a parked car and “the female’s pants were unzipped and pulled down.”

Well, the two lovebirds have come clean and apologized for claiming that the ranger who cited them was lying.

Republicans sorry for saying ranger lied about making out

Oh, and they've stepped down from the Minnesota House Ethics panel. Yes, these two married (to other people) legislators who were caught with their pants down (literally!) and then slandered with false accusations the ranger who cited them were deemed worthy of policing the ethical behavior of others!

But from the article, it looks like they're still maintaining the fiction that they were just discussing policy. In a secluded park. With their pants down.

Nothing about this surprises me. This kind of behavior, and the usual denials afterward, have become all too common. Hope their days in public office are numbered.
