If I had a business, I'd move it out of Illinois as well. I'm not saying moving it to Mexico is right but I wouldn't blame any business for getting the heck out of Illinois.

well trump is a hypocrite, i know already as david letterman showed (a decade or so ago) him his own clothing line with parts made in bangladesh and china instead of america. i am just saying so many american jobs have been lost to either indians on h1b visas or offshored labor, or even down south to mexico.

here is the video:

Truth is, if the move lowers the cost of Oreo's, or keep it from rising, most americans will welcome it and the heck with those 600 workers who loss their jobs.

I wouldn’t say he’s a hypocrite because of having his stuff made in Mexico or China or wherever.

It makes perfect sense - he did what was best for his company when he was a businessman. Now that he is aiming to be a politician, he’s saying he’ll do what’s best for the US. The question to him should be will he move his overseas operations to the US if he were elected. I’d love to hear him address that.

I’m not a Trump supporter.

But it's not about morality. Trump would be the last one to claim he has morality. It’s about “Making America Great Again!”

When he was purely a businessman, it was about making him great (no morality), now (according to him) it’s about making the country great (again, no morality in this).

I suspect Trump would say something like “I’ll do terrific things, regardless of whether it’s moral or not. And other countries will respect us. My goal isn’t morality, it’s to make this country the great power it once was and the great power it can be and you’re going to be so proud.”

Sounds good eh? People are desperate, it’s a dangerous time.

Who cares about trump etc.

The bottom line is that this is a continued fallout from NAFTA.

As some have correctly noted, most people are just too partisan, self-serving or uneducated to know better.

While it was a Republican initiative, it was supported by the Clintons and signed by Clinton, Biden, Kennedy, Kerry and a few other names. Heck, there hasn't been a democratic presidential ticked since 1988 that hasn't had a NAFTA signer on it.

So, just file NAFTA under the fact that both parties screw the average worker no matter what they say in pretty speeches.
