The U.S. could eliminate ISIS in less time if we wanted too.

Russia could also.
We're being told that Russia has capabilities far beyond anything the US possesses.

How soon will they turn this against ISIS and settle the middle east down, once and for all?

I don't think Russia has more powerful weapons than the U.S. but they do possess exotic weapons that are more destructive than nuclear warheads.

Didn't Russia spend many years in Afghanistan? Seems this was a bone thrown to the USA, if we will look the other way while Russia invades other countries.

Soon you will witness the complete and utter TRUE destruction of "ISIS"
once and for all, and you won't be seeing any Israeli attacks on Syrian
soil against Hezbollah either.

Russia begins military intervention in Syria – media | InSerbia News
Maybe they will actually take out the ISIS headquarters buildings. We know where these HQ buildings are but Obama won't take them out, for fear some civilians might be injured or killed. While noble, it ignores all the tens of thousands being butchered, raped, enslaved, beheaded or driven from their homes.

If we knew where Hitler's HQ was, and we refused to target it because we might kill the janitor, how long would WWII have lasted, and would we have ever defeated the Nazis?

One reason why Russia wants to get into Syria is because Tarkhan Batirashvili is in Syria helping to lead ISIS.

He was born a Muslim in the country of Georgia, where he served in the special forces division of the army and fought the Russians when they invaded Georgia in 2008. He moved to turkey to join the jihad, and changed his name to Abu Omar al Shishani.

The Georgian roots of Isis commander Omar al-Shishani - BBC News

Omar al-Shishani may now be one of the most feared jihadists in the Middle East, as a commander in the al-Qaeda-affiliated Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (Isis), but his early life was very different.

Maybe you should apply for a job at the CIA/NSA. With all your insights and insider knowledge, you would be a great fit !

Of course they do have background checks.

We didn't look the other way. We hired, armed and funded Osama Bin Laden to help create a CIA controlled Islamic militant group, rebels, that fought the Soviet military. This militant group was our proxy militant force. That Islamic militant group later became known as Al-Qaeda.

Excellent!

How soon will Putin use these super weapons to obliterate ISIS?

What is he waiting for?

He won't. Putin will use conventional warfare unless the U.S. and/or our allies tries to stop him. Conventional warfare will take out ISIS pretty quick also.

Really?
Russia doesn't just show up like the EU countries for appearances.

Russia now has another foot in the region, aside from the sweetheart deals with Iran. Russia isn't going to leave.

Russia is supporting Assad while Obama tells us Assad's days are numbered. Sounds like a conflict of ideas.

Doubt russia will play with the US and a busload of europeans.

The United States really has no choice but to somewhat cooperate with
the Russian military effort in Syria.
That is because there is absolutely nothing the United States can do
that would stop it.
They have tried to hurt Russia with sanctions. FAIL.
They have tried to hurt Russia with lies in their medias. FAIL.
They have tried to hurt Russia by challenging her with NATO. FAIL.

So, according to this Fox News report (which is so poorly written, it makes my head hurt)
the Pentagon is, after all, going to discuss cooperation of some sort with Russian forces;
at the very least this should prevent an accident.
