Whatever one can say about George Bush, he certainly picked a lady for a wife.
Seriously--Laura Bush? You do know she was speeding, ran a stop sign, killed a young man, and received no penalty for it? Not very classy in my opinion.

In 1963! As tragic as that was, she was 17 at the time and more than 50 years have passed.

Yes, I know that. And then one poster says she never had anything to overcome. That was a very difficult thing to live with. Class is represented by the ability to go forward after difficult circumstances and not be destroyed. Who do you know that never made a mistake in their entire life?
You can't be serious. Especially when I named four.......and those were the ones we were discussing.
If those people you mentioned represent America then America is in serious trouble. Could that be the reason America is in such serious trouble? Hopefully we will get to another presidential election before America is totally destroyed.

Good grief. If she was anyone else she would be excoriated for this. The press would have splashed it everywhere during W's campaign. As it is, not many people even know this happened.
Not everyone can completely get away with manslaughter. And then get praised because you have had to 'overcome it'. It truly must be great to be rich and connected.
I am sure that boy's family appreciates the sentiment that killing him was 'one of life's mistakes'.
It never ceases to amaze me that people continue to attack a black woman from Chicago whom graduated from an Ivy League school and they believe she doesn't know what she is talking about when it comes to giving good advice and a black man who has become President of the United States. Yea, don't listen to what they have to say.
Nice try though.
Yes, because "Ivy league graduates" and their advice is the be all to end all.
And "black women from Chicago," well, any advice they could give is laughable.
Well, whatever floats her boat or trips her trigger or whatever...
Personally, I never held up any performer as a role model for my kids. Too many of them are druggies or alcoholics or some other thing that disqualifies them as a valid role model, IMO.
How about we just call this the, I Hate Michelle Obama thread no matter what!
I can live with that.
