Do you want all American jobs shipped overseas and all Americans replaced by temporary workers here at home ? Those job are going overseas, not to Atlanta. And do you really have to ask why Congress has not passed a bill to reduce/eliminate H-1Bs when firms like Tata and Infosys have millions at their disposal to contribute to political parties ?
The crux of it is it saves money for companies, if it didn't decrease their operating cost they wouldn't do it. You keep thinking is a conspiracy against the american worker when it's capitalism at work. It's really far from a left or right issue, the h1b program was put in place by big business interest by both parties. If anything the GOP followers keep waxing poetic about a free market with no regulations, but I guess you can always write your reps about sponsoring some protectionist legislation.
I had to laugh at the comment that the GOP wants the rich to get richer yet it is mostly the Democrats that want illegal aliens to remain here to continue to make the rich richer and retain American jobs at low wages. Their presence while here dipping onto our welfare coffers are taking benefits that our own poor, vets and seniors should be getting. They are being thrown under the bus by the Democrats not the GOP. Illegal aliens take jobs from both minorities and whites. The GOP does not discriminate against minorities. That's a bald faced lie! They are not seeking an all white country either. Someone here needs a reality check.
As for useless wars I oppose them but it's not just the GOP that has had a hand in promoting them. More money that could go to help our own citizens and more lives saved. Here we are going off to war in foreign countries while our own borders are wide open to terrorism and economic leeches stealing our jobs, taxes and resources.
These jobs are being transferred to a cheaper labor source in India. This is the free market. Do you want big government to prevent business from operating in the most cost efficient manner? Do you want big government to pick up the diff in operating costs to keep the jobs in the US? Sounds like welfare to me.
Does it really matter if the very temporary shadow is a consultant from India or Atlanta?
Congress has been controlled by one party for almost ten months now. Why have they not passed a bill to reduce H1B visas and put it on Obama's desk? With the big election coming up, how likely is Congress going to take any action that might alienate donors?
Obama would veto it anyway, he doesn't want jobs for Americans, only foreigners.
