Cummings statement made it perfectly clear why this inquiry has drug on for 18 months, the Democrats have absolutely no interest in getting to the truth, all they are interested in is protecting the party and the guilty witch.

3 hours in: after taking great offense at being accused of conducting a prosecution, Gowdy proceeds to sound and look exactly like a prosecutor who knows he's losing his case and is frantically trying (and failing) to rattle the chief witness.

The last few minutes of the first three hours were golden, as Gowdy tried desperately to keep from being forced to release all the transcripts he has thus far refused to release. Look for that exchange to dominate the news cycles and probably even show up in some campaign ads in the future.
If there was a moment when it all fell apart for Gowdy, that was it.
I wish they would release all of it. Of course, what do we do about Hillary erasing the thousands we can allegedly no longer recover?

Despite Gowdy's hyperfocus on the emails, they are only a tiny part of the record that's being withheld. So far there's nothing to suggest that any deleted emails would shed light on what happened in Benghazi.

In a nutshell, yes. And it has been discovered that she deleted gov't records to protect herself from incrimination or signs of incompetence which would affect her political aspirations to be POTUS.
