Muslims created a petition at the government website to call for and recognize Eid as public holiday in the United States despite being only less than 1% of the population, and apparently they got over 122K signatures which is met for to get a respond back by the federal government/Obama administration. Having it a school holiday in certain districts with high Muslim population isn't enough for them, they want to have it across the nation. They think people are not aware of their holidays that was made up by a child molester and warrior!

The government workers get the day off with pay.
Regular workers get no day off.
Retail workers not only don't get it off, but have to work longer hours to accommodate the "Eid Weekend Sale"--cause whenever it is, we'll move it to Monday or Friday anyway.
