Yeah -- the public in attendance was wise to the media game. The loudest applause was bashing media for cause.

Everyone has their answers down pat...basically hearing the same stuff over and over. LOL at those who pick winners based on body language, good "comebacks" or funny comments. It's really funny how the media will obsess over every word and try to create story lines.

Carson is not going to win this nomination so you guys breathe easy. He's not a well rounded candidate. He's just soft spoken and seeming intelligent and that's why his numbers are as high as they are. If the debate stage gets whittled down to just 5, he will get exposed FAST. A smaller debate stage will quikcly expose the weaker candidates and unveil the stronger candidates.

Only saw portions of the debate - and while I freely admit I don't plan on voting for any of those clowns, I have to admit that the moderators questions were just plain awful - vapid, pointless and deliberately meant to try and stir up trouble - a deliberate and obvious attempt to stir up controversy simply to get ratings. The moderators S*CKED. I don't agree with Cruz EVER but he had a very valid point about the nature of the debate tonight. It was EXTREMELY unfair to the candidates.

This is the best comment I've seen in either debate thread.

I think the problem stems from the sheer number of candidates.

Having said that, at some point they need a debate where every candidate gets to respond to each question.

It isn't doing any good to ask a particular question to two or three candidates and then change the subject for the next guy.

Need to reduce the field to 6 or at most 8 for the next debate.

After 3 debates guys who can't garner more than 3% should be sent to the kiddie table.

I agree. Too many clinging to the life raft are drowning the others.

Default Too bad more attention isn't being paid to Rand Paul's comments.

I'm a progressive who understands that government has been co-opted by the super-rich Oligarchy and because of this are the primary beneficiaries of government programs.

Among all the candidates, I have found Rand Paul to be the most sensible and articulate on substantial economic issues. In particular I was heartened that on the question of reigning in the Federal Reserve, he received the highest positive reaction of the whole evening on the real-time CNBC.

While I find Bernie Sanders courageous and I applaud his intentions to bring wealth inequality to full view, I believe he and other progressives can learn a lot by listening to Rand Paul and understand how government, including all branches and most especially the Federal Reserve, have created the unprecedented amount of wealth inequality in our society.
