Students and parents should be boycotting these institutions, they've become deeply unamerican and now they are destroying the fabric of our country... I guess literally.
The western portion of Alta California was organized as the State of California, which was admitted as the 31st state on September 9, 1850.
The star represents California being admitted as the 31st state!!!!
Well I don't work for the task force that identified this as being a gang symbol, but sure, I agree, it is probably an overreaction on the school's part and imagery of a state and US flag shouldn't be targeted like this.

Apparently it isn't about the flag part, it is about the red star.
the nuns handed out red stars if you went to mass at least 2 times in one week. gold and blue were the next best rewards if you received communion.

Every crime committed steals freedom from the law abiding. now a simple star is considered ganlandia fashion and banned.
Libs look at a gun and call it an assault weapon while other guns which function the same way are legal. they see a kid draw a picture of a gun and toss him from school and call the cops. Pop tart art is found to be dangerous when it resembles a gun. Lumps on the heads were said to predict criminals. The general public is punished as a compromise reaction to prevent crime.
This strategy of using images to predict future behavior is the stuff of a novel so outlandish no one would believe it to be institutionalized behavior. Even perp descriptions are now limited.
Yet the gangs go untouched except by their competition. Gangs are allowed to have such influence over how schools act and no one address the gangs. They leave the gangs alone because they have rights, the same rights they take away from kids wering state and national symbols.
