Conservatism teaches independence. At the very core, we are responsible for ourselves, and women who understand that simply do not need feminism to define or protect them.
Liberals have raised a generation of boys they cannot control and girls who are afraid (think they are victims). Conservatives have raised a generation of boys and girls who think for themselves, take rational precautions. Fortunately, we have strong conservative women to remind us that despite the Left’s best efforts, no one is a victim when she can take care of herself.
Feminism was conceived to empower women and create a sense of independence from men. Instead of relying on a husband for all of your needs, you could simply provide for yourself. It was not to replace dependence on men to dependence of government.
welfare and social programs are not entirely laid at the feet of the left, or at the feet of feminism. but you want to pretend they do because it fits the conservative agenda. believe it or not there are people on the right that want to help the poor, elderly and children. few maybe but some.

In the context of sex education, who can take better care of herself: The young woman with the facts at her disposal, or the young woman who lacks the knowledge and means?

I do not know of any liberal that teaches their children anything other than being a responsible person capable of taking care of themselves and their family.
I have never met a liberal young woman who is "afraid" of life or thinks they are victims. quite the opposite.

it isn't the liberal you have problems with it is the apathetic in life and they cross all political lines. as been pointed out in this thread it is the conservative states that have the highest rate of teen pregnancy. not many hard core feminists would take a baby to term if she weren't ready to be a mother.

No, it's not totally left, only the left encourages dependency on government, it's a voting block. Don't you remember Pelosi saying welfare helps the economy. Elderly yes as long as they paid their way but the income limits are so low that they couldn't have.

this is apathetic and lazy, mot necessarily anyone even interested in politics one way or another. as I said red states have huge welfare roles. this isn't just a liberal problem, you know that right, or are you blinded by the facts?
