Because we've largely been fooled by propaganda into thinking that Israel is a secular, western, open democracy that values free speech, freedom of religion, and tolerance.
generally the americans who hate muslims tend to love the Israelis.
there's also a small fraction of nutters who believe stuff that's written in the bible about Israel, that may also play a role.
Israel isn't a Western country---it does share some of the kinds of governing rules and values of the West, but like South Korea, Japan, or Taiwan, it's not Western. People make the mistake of thinking that the Jews are a Western, White, European people, and that's just not true of us. It IS a democracy with free speech, freedom of religion and tolerance. You'll have ignorant rude people there, but that can be found in any country. If you're so for democratic values, then why bash Israel but look the other way when it comes to Muslim countries? Because of hypocrisy and anti-Semitism.
Oh, and for the OP: Jews didn't kill Jesus. Romans did. ONE Jew betrayed him. Big difference. Would we blame all Christians for the KKK? No.
The most important aspect of this is that the Jews are thought to be God's active will on Earth. However Jews individually are considered still lost in unbelief. The idea was that they were being preserved as a people for when they are converted to Christ, after a good 2/3 of them parish.
I think Hagee is trying something new in that the Covenant with Israel is still in effect. He is saying that Jesus never offered Christianity to the Jews. So there are two different tracks according to him. One gets to God by bus and the other by boat. It is as absurd as the other of course, but either way Christan Zionism for their own end of the world mythologies is rather wide spread, especially in protestant circles.
It's always enjoyable to hear people's mythological legends, superstitions, and folkloric fantasies presented for our entertainment. Just like the wonderful tales about Santa Claus, Rudolf the Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman and the Easter Bunny.
Only thing about that is, the Israelites were black. So I wonder how many "white" "Christians" would suddenly change their tune if they were to actually accept and understand that information. Right now, many seem to be in denial phase.
The original Jews weren't Black. They were (and still are) a Semitic people. Abraham, the father of the Jews, came originally from Iraq, so it is believed, and migrated to what is now Israel, which was a Jewish kingdom for thousands of years before Christianity (let alone Islam) ever came on the scene.
Now, Middle Easterners of modern times are a mixed bunch, racially, not unlike Latinos. Because so many have conquered the area (Asians of Mongolian or Turkish descent, European colonists) or because of interaction with African empires and the slave trade. So there is some African blood in the people of the Middle East for sure.

Unfortunately - for people who still hold onto this misconception - the modern science of Human genotypes and anthropological DNA haplogroups and haplotypes have disproved that claim. Even Egyptian wall murals depicted members of the Habiru people (Hebrews, not be be confused with another western Asian group the Hyksos) as light skinned. There is a fantastic exhibit on the ancient Near East at the University Of Pennsylvania Museum of Archeology And Anthropology ... which happens to have the foremost collection of Near Eastern artifacts in the entire western hemisphere.
On the other hand ALL Humans have a common ancestor many millennia ago that came out of Africa. Also ancient Israel did trade and have contact with southern Arabia and the horn of Africa and most scholars agree the queen of "Sheba" was black.
In conclusion, many Jewish organizations have used atheist groups to sue Christians over Christmas displays (not Muslims or any other religious group) and also a Jewish lawyer wanted to challenge the Christmas Day federal holiday but the Supreme Court rejected the hearing.

David Duke is a former Grand Wizard of the KKK. Forgive me if I take anything he says with regard to Judaism with a grain of salt and a gallon of disregard.
