41 men targeted but 1,147 people killed: US drone strikes – the facts on the ground
The drones came for Ayman Zawahiri on 13 January 2006, hovering over a village in Pakistan called Damadola. Ten months later, they came again for the man who would become al-Qaida’s leader, this time in Bajaur.
Eight years later, Zawahiri is still alive. Seventy-six children and 29 adults, according to reports after the two strikes, are not.
U.S. DRONE OPERATORS are inflicting heavy civilian casualties and have developed an institutional culture callous to the death of children and other innocents, four former operators said at a press briefing today in New York.
The killings, part of the Obama administration’s targeted assassination program, are aiding terrorist recruitment and thus undermining the program’s goal of eliminating such fighters, the veterans added. Drone operators refer to children as “fun-size terrorists” and liken killing them to “cutting the grass before it grows too long,” said one of the operators, Michael Haas, a former senior airman in the Air Force. Haas also described widespread drug and alcohol abuse, further stating that some operators had flown missions while impaired.
Maybe if these people would quit harboring terrorists, they wouldn't have to worry about getting blown up.
How would you feel if american soldiers pulled women and children from their homes and shot them in the street? it's essentialy the same as killing them with a drone.
And would it be okay with you if China wiped out your neighborhood with a drone strike to take out some dissidents that were hiding out there?
Whatever allows you to sleep at night. Kids don't harbor "terrorists".
War is hell. These people bring it on themselves. Maybe the kids don't harbor terrorists, but their parents do. If their parents really cared about the safety of the children, they wouldn't be putting them in harms way.

We would consider it an act of war and respond accordingly. And conservatives like lenniel would be screaming the loudest about how we should go wipe their country off the face of the map or turn them into glass or some such heated rhetoric.
But when it's us killing innocent Pakistanis--ah, well, no big deal. They're just Muslims, after all.

Actually in bombing their mosques, hospitals, shops, homes etc., we are bringing it on ourselves. See Paris if you so doubt.

They are simply living their lives........Odd, so you say they should leave but of course you will also argue that they shouldn't come here, even though it is us that is making them leave.
The Middle East is their land, not ours. We are the intruders that need to leave.
It's a tough issue. Muslim men are notorious for hiding behind their women and children. It really is disgusting. It also makes it nearly impossible to kill them or destroy their weapons without also killing women and children. Then when you do kill the women and children they are hiding behind, it just creates more radicals. Despicable people using despicable tactics.
