Letting in unchecked numbers of unvetted, violent foreigners with a radically different culture and no real desire to assimilate. Tell me again-just how DID that work out for the "native Americans"?
I really don't understand why we're so afraid of Syrian (or any other refugees), yet we're less than a week from Thanksgiving in which we celebrate Europeans settling in America to flee from religious persecution. The Europeans killed Native Americans and stole their land...and we're afraid of Syrians doing the same thing to us. I'm not saying I agree or disagree, but we have to admit to a double standard.
Well actually you did hit on it, unintentionally it seems, although it is not about fear. It's about freedom and choice of deciding for yourself how you want to live. They are not coming here to assimilate but to subjugate this population under Islam and Sharia Law. They won't kill you as long as you are willing to submit.
It's not a double standard at all. The Native Americans didn't invite the Europeans. We are inviting our future unrest and destruction of western values.
I just wonder how many people who feel this way actually have Muslim friends (as I do). No Muslim I know wants to subjugate anyone to anything. They just want to live their life.
Gun control is hardly a means with terrorists. Once they are here, it is over.
