This is not a traditional war and we cannot just bomb our way out, this may make people feel good but it's what comes next that count. Just bombing trucks or buildings is not going to win anything, assuming someone knows what winning looks like in th eME.

Bring our troops home to protect OUR BORDERS and AMERICANS. You people are so easily persuaded into war. Just a few years ago we were fighting Al Queda. Now you want our young men and women to fight alongside Al Queda in a Syrian civil war? For shame...

What we are doing now is creating more and more terrorists and is creating chaos. We guard borders in the Middle East while leaving our own wide open. It is insanity.
Why are you equating Israel (the Middle East's only democracy) to the terrorists of Saudi Arabia and Turkey?

How Obama and Kerry can, with a straight face, claim they are doing everything possible to defeat ISIL when they warn the enemy away from the targets to be bombed is absurd. Saving the life of the enemy who will return to the same activity once resupplied with new trucks and equipment is ridiculous. This has to be the most absurd way to fight a war in the history of warfare. Maybe they will sign these enemy combatants and supporters up with Obamacare and food stamps, possibly unemployment benefits, while they wait for new equipment to continue the fight. They might even be able to draw social security as the are more likely to die from old age as they are from enemy activity.

The planes dropped leaflets warning the drivers to "run immediately or you will be killed," according to the officials, adding that similar leaflets were dropped during U.S. airstrikes last week that destroyed 116 oil tanker trucks.

In addition, the officials said, the planes make several low-level passes over the targets prior to the air assault.

The US hasn't 'won' a war since the 40s. Oh, except when Reagan invaded Grenada in 1983 and declared victory over a bunch of medical students.

We won the Gulf War in 1991. And we won Korea, for the most part. As for the War on Terror, it's still ongoing, so we haven't won (or lost) in Iraq or Afghanistan.

Agreed, we don't really win anything on the world stage. We are more inclined to lead from behind and advance to the rear while shooting our-self's in the foot tossing billions into the wind. While Obama and Kerry call that doing everything we can to defeat ISIL.

Apparently Bush and Cheney did not think so.

Let me shorten that to be even more correct.

Political party divide on National Security gains no respect. Small wonder Jeb is doing poorly. Clinton should be right there with him.

Because Obama' and Bush' friends are making so much damn money.

Our latest imitation of Viet Nam, which was never classified as a "war".

You can't wage a war on something as abstract as "terrorism".
...and, the war on drugs, the war on poverty....etc.

All designed to line pockets, nothing more.

Politicians sucessfully compete with the Jerry Springer audience. Apparently a winning strategy to line their pockets.
