The reason why coffee is so highly tolerated in society is because it can't do anything scary to you, like make you high.

Duh, you idiot. The proper pronoun for countries and ships is female. The Titanic and all other ships are referred to as "her" and "she", the same thing with countries.

Are you kidding me. I gave it up a long time ago but the majority I know still smoke everyday. And these are highly successful people. It's a stress reliever for many. And it's better than taking xanax or any other manufactured drug.

the country survived the wrath of booze for hundreds of years,! pot the safer drug isn't going to do squat but create private sector jobs as it becomes legal. its kind of funny that the FBI has a hard time finding computer programmers that don't smoke pot.. political correctness is doing more damage to the country than booze n pot put together

An interesting take on marijuana.
Not just ISIS, but our own elites. Pot is just one of many methods used to keep people dumbed down and complacent. That's one of many methods used to control people.

As if the nanny state doesn't want the electorate distracted, uneducated, and stoned.

Depends on what you mean by "high" I guess. Millions (billions?) of people drink coffee exactly because it is an upper. If you find exhilaration to be scary, you have a vastly different outlook on life than most people.

Au contraire. People who think that pleasurable mental states are preferable to almost anything else make very poor cubicle drones.
