Rape is immoral and absolutely must be condemned, no matter who is responsible. It ends there.
Every offender has a motivation, whether that be religion (as with this case) – or something else.
The fact that people in this thread are having a contest over which form of "rape" is more acceptable is quite frankly, sad and irrational. It trivzializes a serious issue that must be taken very seriously.

Somalis are one group we could do without. They have raped a few women in a small town in Western KY where a group of their refugees were resettled. Some "thank you"! Maybe they're bad off in their own country because their all dumb azzes? I've not gotten that vibe from immigrants I've met from other parts of Africa. Nigerians seem very smart and responsible. Even Congo people are cool. We need to separate grateful immigrants from pieces of crap immigrants.
The problem IS Islam. The entire "religion" was created to justify the rape, abuse and subjugation of women and children, and to justify and even glorify sexual abuse by the men that practice it. Islam teaches that what we consider sexual assault is not just "OK", but a fundamental part of the religion. It states that beating women is not just acceptable, but tells how to go about it. Men are not held responsible for their sexual acts, it's the woman's fault. Hence the demand that women cover themselves head to toe to avoid "exciting" their men. Wives have to submit to their husbands sexually whenever they demand it. If a man does rape a woman, the woman is at fault and all too often is murdered in an honor killing. Not just in primitive areas, but in government sanctioned sentences, where the woman is buried to her waist and stoned to death by her "friends and neighbors". In other places, women are sentenced to gang rape for accusing a male of rape. Perhaps worse, the rape of non-Muslim women is considered conquest sanctioned and honored by the religion. Want an express lane to paradise (where you spend eternity raping virgins)-rape a woman in the name of Allah. In EVERY country where the Islamic population has become significant, rape is beyond an epidemic. Read up on what is happening at the hands of the savage "refugees" invading Germany and Great Britain. Worse, read up on the rape epidemic in Sweden at the hands of these animals.
And of course this is what your president and his foul administration insists on importing to this country. Trump has the right idea.

When Trump is attacked by the media and other politicians for his stance on suspending letting any more Muslims into the U..S. until we have a REAL system of vetting them, THIS is the kind of story he should be telling.
I just read about that Somali in Minnesota that tried to join ISIS along with some other countrymen of his. These guys have basically won the immigration lottery and they want to go back and be thugs and murderers. How completely uneducated or messed up can they be to not realize just how much better off they are here? Just fly themback and throw them out on the tarmac. Nobody will miss them. Maybe handcuff them to the immigration officials that okayed their being allowed to emigrate until they're ready to be sent back.

I would prefer we not admit Somali immigrants. Not unless a serious claim for amnesty could be proven. It's a hostile nation.
