I'm an older Millennial myself and I have seen, over and over, everyone saying "those dumb kids want free everything!" and to "prove" it they point to one or two groups of 20 somethings marching with Bernie Sanders or demanding free college etc. At no point do they ever look at any real data on what Millennials want or believe.

For example, this generation is actually very fiscally conservative compared to other generations:

Millennial Generation Becoming More Fiscally Conservative

https://generationopportunity.org/ar...-really-means/

And the biggest irony is, the Boomers who usually call out this generation really have NO ROOM TO TALK.

Millennials like myself may spend money on Iphones, tablets, etc, but who was it that purchased those big, ugly McMansions with idiotic loans that ended up causing the housing crash? My generation like smaller houses that are affordable: Millennials are Seeking Smaller, Cozier Housing | The G Brief The boomers? They were the ones who purchased big houses AFTER getting rid of the "starter home" (?) and made the whole economy collapse. Sorry, but I doubt there will ever be a "smart phone bubble" that throws America into a recession.

And Millennials use those smart phones to SAVE MONEY. I can use my car2go, zipcar, Lyft and transit app to get around and hence I can put off buying a car for awhile. I can use it to find deals with Tradr (like Tindr for used stuff) etc. Honestly, why the focus on electronic gizmos that cost maybe a third of one of my paychecks? The Boomers were the ones who purchased huge houses, massive SUVs and as many cars as there were people in the households, summer homes (why not just hostel it?) and a bunch of other crap they didn't need.

And then there is the issue of politicians like Obama. Yes, Millennials voted for him. Why? SOCIAL ISSUES. This is the same generation who disproportionately supported Ron Paul in both cycles, and who make a big chunk of Trump and Ben Carson supporters today. But you only hear Boomers whining about young Bernie Sanders supporters, even though as many Millennials like Trump and Carson.

Millennial Voters Favor Bernie Sanders, Donald Trump and Ben Carson in 2016, Harvard Poll Finds - Washington Wire - WSJ

And wasn't it the Boomers who supported twits like Gene McCarthy and George McGovern? So I guess Boomers all want "free-stuff", because they were the ones who cut their long hair and actually bathed for the first time since Elvis was drafted to "get clean for Gene" and support their socialist dimwit.

And that reminds me: my generation may come home after work and play video games. But what did the Boomers do INSTEAD of working?

Who does Generation Hippie think they are to tell my generation that we need to "take responsibility"? I have never met or heard of anyone in this generation who refused to work in favor of walking around barefoot in tie-dye while having a "love-in" to stop a war. Honestly, you former Flower Children need to stop throwing stones from your glass houses.

And if you say "I wasn't a hippie!", well, I was never entitled or felt entitled to anything but to be left alone.

And finally there is the argument that this generation is too sensitive and want censorship to not be offended. Yes, this is the generation of social-justice warriors and anti-social justice warriors, the latter of whom are never mentioned by disgruntled old people. Yes, Millennials brought us "trigger warnings" and "Microaggressions", or at least they popularized them. But they also brought us Cards Against Humanity. And of course there is the website I would URGE PEOPLE NOT TO GO TO that has kind of defined this generation. More then once I have heard Millennials being referred to as "generation 4chan." So obviously, Millennials can't be THAT easily offended if we are the ones browsing /b/.

And it's not like the Boomers were ever offended easily and tried to censor anyone who disagreed with them...oh...wait... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moral_Majority

The Boomers were the generation that brought us "concerned Christians" who tried to ban everything from Ozzy Osbourn to Pulp Fiction, and tried to get the Simpsons's cancelled because it was leading to "the moral decay of America"

Millennials who support censorship have the same mentality for a different reason, and they will fail just as badly because they are in the minority in my generation.

In short, Boomers need to stop being a bunch of cucks and realize they are a bunch of old pots calling young kettles black.

Boomers also need to stop BLAMING Millennials for "everyone gets a trophy." THEY were the ones behind the self esteem movement and Millennials are just on the receiving end of it.

LOL..new homes today are trending towards 2600 sq ft.

The recovery brought back those super sized homes and it isn't boomers that are buying them.

that's because they're trolling ... i.e. saying things to get a rise out of you

and judging by the high-effort post you just made, you bit hook, line, and sinker.

Uh, no. The how participation trophy is part of the Gen-X'er legacy. Boomers were a mix of the Free-Love, hippie movement that deserves the blame for the SDS and infiltrating education and indoctrinating kids with revisionist history and leftist ideology.

The other part of the mix were the nerd and geeks who developed the technology and innovation that millennials take for granted as their rights today.

Although op's post is a bit extreme, I think he/she made some valid points.

I notice that older generation always criticizes the younger generation. It seems like there is no mutual respect. Example, NOT ALL OF THEM, but quite a few older generation of veterans like to criticize the younger generation of veterans. Saying How did we get from being men and women of honor to a subclass of entitled and counter-culture, whiny, wussified leaches? Yeah, right. Just because you fought different wars, doesn't mean you are tougher or better. Of course I am not saying all of them are like that, but certain people just have this type of mentality, which is annoying.

The majority of "boomers" were LBJ/Nixonian creeps.
