The EEOC filed suit on behalf of Muslim truckers who were fired for refusing to carry alcohol because it violated their religious beliefs. Christians, however, get no such protection for refusing to service 'gay's demanding they bake wedding cakes and cater 'gay weddings.'

I'm not often given to quoting Scripture, but there's a parallel (of sorts) drawn from Exodus 21:35 here

"It all depends on whose ox is gored."

Your view of the fairness of the outcome of a dispute depends on which side you are on and the degree of personal loss you have suffered, and in the mind of the typical loser, that translates to whomsoever has access to the levers of power.

With one possible exception (Cleveland), no Democrat from Jackson onward, has opted for allowing the free exchange of the marketplace settle matters. They all want to peddle influence, and Obama has simply taken the process to new depths of depravity. Political correctness is just a veneer of faux legitimacy.

Not surprising at all, but the company admitted "wrongdoing." The jury then awarded damages. Employers need to start fighting this nonsense instead of being weenies.

BTW, Muslim cab drivers (especially in Minnesota) have been refusing fares carrying alcohol (not open containers--fares picked up at liquor stores, and presumably carrying alcohol) and those accompanied by service dogs, thus flouting the ADA.. Local authorities have been attempting to "crack down" by suspending licenses and fining the offenders, but it continues.

Interestingly, the DOJ (which enforces the ADA) is nowhere to be found.

Wake up, sheeple.

Go to any CVS or Walgreens, a Catholic Pharmacist has to sell birth control pills and condoms and a Morman and Muslim cashier has to sell beer and bacon. It is part of the job.

Don't be a baker, heck Waldbaums the supermarket chain that sadly went under recently was founded by Jewish immigrants had to bake Happy 100 Birthday Adolph Hitler Cakes when they were in business so what.

Two different laws. The bakery was cited under anti-discrimination laws, the freight company under employment laws.

The principle is the same. Christians are forced to violate their religious beliefs, but Muslims get protected. I just want to see what happens when a gay couple demands a wedding cake from a Muslim bakery!

Here is a very interesting article,

Why can Muslims refuse to sell liquor, but Christians must serve gay people?

Why can Muslims refuse to sell liquor, but Christians must serve gay people? - Dave Ross | MyNorthwest.com

I have no problems with gay marriages or gay couples, matter of fact, I don't think we need to give government any more power to butt into our private businesses and personal lives.

If you cannot buy liquor from a Muslim, go to another store, if you want to buy a gay wedding cake, you should get the cake from another bakery.

But reality is that Muslims exercise their religious rights by refusing to serve liquor, but Christians are bigots by refusing to sell gay wedding cakes. Isn't that double standard? Just be honest already.

Sort of. But this is a old topic that was discussed here at length when the muslims resolved the lawsuit. So...duplicate topic.

Also, employment, and customers are in fact different topics.

It is a crazy world we live in.

Wasn't there a muslim cashier at grocery store recently that caused a stir because she refused to scan a package of bacon?

What I don't get is Money is GREEN and knows no discrimination. If you are hired to do a job you have to do the job and can't pick and choose what you want to do. If you are a muslim truck driver guess what you might have to attach a trailer full of booze to your tractor someday. Is your boss demanding you drink it?

There does appear to be a double standard when it comes to Christians vs Muslims.
