why do men have to be stupid for women to be as good at a job?
I'm talking the real world where I live. Ever have a sewer backup? need to place a 50' beam with 8 guys on ladders .We don't do it with buttons and smartphones, brute strength and brains with safety always first.I wish I could press a button to hang 100lb fire doors but I live in the real world not an Amazon distribution center

Good grief. Do you always have issues with reading comprehension? Nowhere did I say all men (or even any) are stupid. I said some men are less capable than some women and some men. These less capable men can no longer count on their gender alone to make them employable. In addition, the end to most manufacturing in America has made brawn less valuable than brains as it pertains to the work force.

You're right about one thing, if it was more than a leaky toilet, I would need someone to fix my plumbing. Good thing I'm smart enough to earn plenty to pay for their services. Problem solved.

Why would the Plumber even want to hire You? You have something he needs or wants?

It's only a related field, but I worked for a time in a call center that dispatched HVAC technicians for a chain trying to develop a nationwide business, and we had a number of female techs who were every bit as good as most of the guys. And I never took an outside complaint about unsafe driving -- something that happened more than once with some of the cowboys.

The one complaint I did have about all the techs was that they were focused more on selling service contracts and new systems to less-astute customers than on repairing the existing equipment; but gender didn't have much to do with that.

Probably not since I don't sell plumbing tools, acid washed jeans, pickup trucks or hand soap. But, the people who do hire me make it possible for me to not worry about unexpected potty emergencies.

Why did you change your post? Is that how you make your living misrepresenting yourself?

Yes, I edit my posts for a living. I get paid a million bucks per change. LOL.

Or just maybe I changed my mind about what I wanted to say and you'd already quoted my post. Nope. That couldn't be it. Let's go with I get paid to change posts.

Do you get paid by the Plumbers Union to talk up their services on CD? I smell a paid shill. No one could possibly be that invested in plumbing.

List these "studies" that show this, from peer reviewed journals please.

I was raised by a "single mother" (divorce) and I am reasonably successful, I am married, I have NO children out of wedlock, I am NOT a drug addict, I am a college graduate, oh yeah and I am STRAIGHT too, as if that matters. I know MANY males raised by "single" mothers that are equally successful in life.

I know females that are every bit as qualified in those fields as ANY male.
