if she does a good job, why not? with tools/machines, it isn't like physical strength is required to such a large degree now. Need to lift an engine? Get a crane and press a button... and some plumbing jobs do require a smaller body, a woman would be more beneficial then...
why do men have to be stupid for women to be as good at a job?
I'm talking the real world where I live. Ever have a sewer backup? need to place a 50' beam with 8 guys on ladders .We don't do it with buttons and smartphones,brute strength and brains with safety always first.I wish I could press a button to hang 100lb fire doors but I live in the real world not an Amazon distribution center

It's only a related field, but I worked for a time in a call center that dispatched HVAC technicians for a chain trying to develop a nationwide business, and we had a number of female techs who were every bit as good as most of the guys. And I never took an outside complaint about unsafe driving -- something that happened more than once with some of the cowboys.
The one complaint I did have about all the techs was that they were focused more on selling service contracts and new systems to less-astute customers than on repairing the existing equipment; but gender didn't have much to do with that.

I was raised by a "single mother" (divorce) and I am reasonably successful, I am married, I have NO children out of wedlock, I am NOT a drug addict, I am a college graduate, oh yeah and I am STRAIGHT too, as if that matters. I know MANY males raised by "single" mothers that are equally successful in life.
