Less of an indictment of Islam and more of an indictment of the culture of countries which have Islamic law as part of their government institutions.
It should serve as an example for western societies to maintain separation of church and state. Because even if you think your favorite religion is mild, or doesn't teach such things....just wait until the radicals or fundamentalists get hold of it. Imagine Westboro Baptist being taken seriously....or worse....being afraid to oppose them in civil discourse.
So here's what happened. Britain First, a far right party that advocates extreme nationalism and fascism, goes into a town wearing clothing brandished with insignia that are intentionally made to resemble military or police uniforms wielding yard long crosses and handing out papers with content that is unknown to all of us. They march through a predominantly Muslim immigrant area, showing no signs of peace or doing anything Jesus would be remotely ok with. But you know, who cares? Ideological consistency does not matter to nationalists.
Unsurprisingly, doing this generated a very negative response. Which was the point.
Why does the Westboro baptist church do what they do? To generate controversy and if they're lucky, someone will assault them, they can sue, and they will get money. It's a well known tactic. You were foolish enough to think this was an accident. They wanted to get a negative response which is obvious from the 1) editing of footage (the full video often tells a different story; the whole story, which is often counter productive to the makers agenda) and 2) complete willingness to ignore the numerous Muslim by standers who did nothing or expressed only verbal anger, which is a rational response to a group of fascist sociopaths shouting about how their religion is the only true religion.
But you don't care. You didn't do your research. You don't care what the group who created this video supports in the big picture. You saw some Jesus stuff and they were targeting the 'bad guys' so that was enough for you. Fun fact, that's how Hitler came into power, and interestingly enough, Britain First and the National Socialist German Worker's party have a lot in common. They support the same form of nationalism that was found in Germany in 1940, they do not agree that states like Ireland or Scottland should have the right to govern themselves (which contradicts traditional Western Liberalism [proper sense of the word that both American liberalism and American conservatism fall under]) despite their expressed interest or current state, and are Eurocentric to the point that anyone not European is inferior.
Beyond this, they also support Christian fundamentalism, which also contradicts Western Liberalism and the same sociopolitical system that could be found in 1940s central Europe: fascism. They're also done this same thing they do in this video in Jewish communities, but go on record stating that antisemitism is purely due to the presence of Muslims in the UK.
Congratulations on your awful display of journalism. Or, if you did know this about Britain First, congratulations on being a fascist. And thank any gods that exist that Britain First holds no seats in English parliament.
Little majority like fascism by nationalists. 70-80% are against nationalists. Terrorists are really against fascism and nationalists. They will alert in Europe the islamic state because Europe once weres nationalsocislists and classical area with old England - France wars. England allways attack France first.

Separation of Church and State was a great idea. Separation of the US and Islam would be even better.
There's no such thing as a peaceful religion. All of them are inherently violent.
