I don't believe any of that. The biggest problem in Europe is the EU including the Euro. If both went away, each country could develop in its own way. The hostilities within Europe would also vanish.
The second big problem is the aging population and the resulting financial strain. But other countries such as Japan are dealing with the same problem. Sooner or later all advanced countries will face that problem.
