This is the opinion of one person not fact. Honestly, do you know any woman who chooses to take a lower paying job This guy is just stupid
I did. I have a real estate brokers license and my husband is a computer repairman. We decided one person should be where they could be available to our children. You cannot take care of children with two parents miles away and unavailable. I decided to take a part time government job and with the way the economy has gone it was a great decision. Real estate tanked about the time I was retiring with pension. My part time job turned into full time. I worked in our neighborhood.
Here is a good example. Why was she offered less money? Hmmmm?
And it doesn't just happen in Hollywood.
Because Fox Mulder is the lead protagonist. The story line could continue on without Scully. Thus she is expendable to the series. As follows she is not worth as much.

She plays a main character, just like him. What would the X-Files be without Scully? When you think of the X-Files.......you think of Mulder AND Scully. The X-Files needs BOTH to continue.
The fact is, without her, this remake wouldn't have been made, yet, they wanted to pay her HALF as much as Duchovny. HALF. And you think that was a fair offer?
Obviously, if they didn't need her, they wouldn't have agreed to pay her the same amount as Duchovny after she refused their original offer.
So, why did they try to low ball her in the first place?
Why did she have to fight for her fair share? Why wasn't it a given?

I negotiate pay frequently. I make more working at the same companies doing the same job as some of the women that do the same work. Why? Because I'm a man and women aren't capable of and shouldn't be expected to negotiate like men because they are inferior. Can't have it both ways. Do you want equality or to be treated as inferior?
Well then give us the articles of the advanced research and not this one guy's opinion. Why would anyone take a lower paying job? What are your friends reasoning for that.
People take lower paying jobs because they might be less stressful, more rewarding or otherwise be more fulfilling. Men often take more stressful and more dangerous jobs which is why 9 out of 10 work place fatalities are men. Hazard pay.
That is to say nothing about the complete hypocrisy in other areas of the oppressive matriarchy. Women use more health care than men, only to have feminists whine insurance companies want to charge more. Insurance companies are there to make money, so obviously these people know squat about a market system. These idiots don't bother to notice men pay more for auto and life insurance.
If you really thought you were getting screwed then you should lead the way for a market system which sees no sex or any other color but green. But leftists never want to do that because of the reasons above. They are utterly corrupt , venal slugs willing to exploit any opportunity they can.

On average, men work more hours per week and have a longer work history than women. They also work in much more dangerous and stressful fields and also choose more mentally demanding careers.
Men and women don't make the same because they don't work the same.
Women aren't actually paid less. They choose to work lower paying jobs, take time off, and raise a family. Nothing wrong with that. Obama knows that, but he keeps pushing this wage gap BS.

David Duchovny is a bigger star than Gillian Anderson so it would follow that he would be offered more.
