IMHO...This will only fuel hatred between the races. Political correctness has gotten outta hand and has to be stooped. PC is tearing apart the fabric of this nation.

Portland Community College says only white people are racist, will spend all of April shaming 'whiteness'

That was the assessment of the author of the article, not that of the college.

I lived in Portland for three years, loved it. Other than some general kookiness downtown, it was a pleasant place to live. Their public schools are abysmal and there was some hand wringing over the dearth of African Americans taking advanced placement courses, but overall there did not seem to be much racial strife. It is a very white city. It's not quite as racially homogenous as Detroit, but it's not exactly New York levels of diversity either.

Lot's of young homelessness however. I kind of like the naked chicks protesting the Harley Davidson store, they were naked. Food truck scene is the bomb.

Anyone attending that school next year is an idiot who deserves what they get.

Absolutely not. Here's the college link - Whiteness History Month | Portland Community College

This college has already been discussed on CD briefly and I agree with the OP, school supported rubbish like this will only fuel more racial anger and divisiveness.

Mmmmmkay....well I'm sure the local residents can vote with their wallets as to how they feel about the community college.

Could be a test to see if people will allow one segment of society to be singled out for unfair treatment. Maybe they're hoping others will stand up and say "stop this insanity, we are so past this nonsense." The whole thing sounds too cracked to be real.
I guess students could openly laugh at and ridicule anybody taking this seriously. When your professor or school administrator makes a fool of themselves with absurd beliefs that undermines the whole higher learning system.
