Tell that to Jennifer Lawrence, Arianna Grande, Kaley Cucoc, Kate Upon, Victoria Justice and Mary Elizabeth Winston... Remember the fappening anyone? Apple's security has proven be a joke in the past. Basically they allow hackers to hack and say "oh we'll try to upgrade our security" but when the government wants it, they complain about it.

Only if it is applied to all.

Ironically those hacking methods were incredibly non-technical. It was all social engineering, the "hackers" which is giving them too much credit just used publicly available information to guess challenge questions to reset the account information and log in as those users. So basically those were users with very weak passwords that put their own information at risk through sharing too much on social media and in the press. It has no relevance to this issue.

That's the only possible way to apply it.

Umm, they're protecting the rights of iPhone owners to have a secure phone.

I generally dislike Apple, but Apple had nothing to do with this.

Blame the dumb celebs for using weak passwords and weak password reset questions.

Give the damn phone to an 11 year old kid from Hong Kong, let him have at it. He'll crack it in ten minutes.

Fine Apple $10 billion for obstruction of justice.

I'm so sad for the future of this country when I read comments like this. I find it comical that most of the gun toting anti-government folk are so anti-Apple and anti-encryption.

Thus far:

Both Trump and Cruz have taken the position that Apple must unlock this phone.

Rubio is wishy- washy.

I am not aware if the question has been posed to Hillary or Bernie.
