The AGW alarmists will do anything to convince their lemmings (Including Obama) that all scientists support their hoax.
--------------------
Dr. Richard Lindzen is sick and tired of the media repeating the so-called “97 percent consensus” statistic to show just how strong the global warming agreement is among climate scientists. It’s purely “propaganda,” argues Lindzen.

“It was the narrative from the beginning,” Lindzen, a climatologist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), told RealClear Radio Hour host Bill Frezza Friday. “In 1998, [NASA’s James] Hansen made some vague remarks. Newsweek ran a cover that says all scientists agree. Now they never really tell you what they agree on.”

Lindzen disagreed with politicians who cite Cook’s paper to call for stricter energy regulations. He said it’s part of a political machine that’s used by scientists and politicians to direct more taxpayer dollars to pet projects.

“If you can make an ambiguous remark and you have people who will amplify it ‘they said it not me’ and the response of the political system is to increase your funding, what’s not to like?” Lindzen said.

Waiting for the inevitable retorts from the usual suspects to trash Lindzen who has forgotten more about climate science than that idiot Hansen could learn in two lifetimes.

The amusing part of the article was an analysis of the "97% article" showed that actually only .3% actual "consensus" among climate scientists.

Now that is just hilarious. .3%???

As more and more light is shed on the AGW debate, the more absurd the contention becomes. Only a fool would have embraced such an idiotic notion when there are so many inconsistencies and volumes of opposing data.

Now libs will claim that MIT is an unreliable institution and that anything that comes from there should not be believed.

Actually, no.... It's Lindzen who has the reputation for being wrong most often....Ask him about tobacco and lung cancer.... More importantly, he's been wrong about nearly every major climate argument he's made over the past two decades. Lindzen is arguably the climate scientist who's been the wrongest, longest.

Sure, it's the scientists who are greedy money grabbers. The oil and coal CEOs (like their cousins the tobacco CEOs) have absolutely no vested interest in denying climate change..

It won't matter to democrats. To them, what's been learned cannot be unlearned.

They don't care if the statistics are completely made up. That's why 97% of scientists agree that liberalism is a mental disorder.

Actually the oil and gas industries are getting onboard the climate change bandwagon. The reason for that is quite simple. Many of them in particular the European oil companies have a very large interest in renewable energy but that's the small potatoes. They also have a very large interest in natural gas which replace coal if for example a carbon tax is put in place. You're the one paying for it and the carbon tax you advocate will allow them to dominate the energy industry.

Even before I opened this thread, I knew it would be Lindzen.
He's a fraud.

Well, he does acknowledge that the globe is warming, and that human CO2 emissions are at least partly responsible for this.

That's a lot more than can be said for the average poster in these threads.
