The electric car is killing itself without anyones help. Besides, as long as George Soros is the undisputed most reviled person living, who cares about distant second place rivals.
Now these two old farts want to pick on one of the more promising technological developments in transportation; don't they have anything better to do?
If electric cars actually were this promising, why would the industry require massive subsidies to survive? In fact, as long as gasoline is cheap, they are not promising at all.
They are oh-so-evil. According to the article they are saying that taxpayer funds shouldn't be used to subsidize long established private corporations. Funny how much libbies want taxpayer funds spend to provide welfare to corporations...while ranting against those same corporations. This is particularly the case with electric cars, that are usually toys of the rich, subsidized by the working class taxpayer.
Nor do I have a problem with people going after other subsidized industries.
You mean like, oil?
Fact is, we live in a big old complicated world. Koch Bros. understand that, even if the little people don't. Government (OUR government) policies help pick winners and losers every day of our lives.
Cutting air pollution and oil usage are desirable goals for a lot of reasons, and government help to make that happen sooner is a good thing. Eff those two old buzzards, their greed and their mangy politics.

I guess they are tired of getting slapped in the face for building hospitals for the poor and giving millions to charity.
